Made In Philly: Comcast Experience!
The Athletic Department organized an event with Comcast that allowed student-athletes to build a network of contacts at Comcast and inquire about career development pathways. I was inspired to apply to Comcast\’s internship program which will eventually lead to a post-grad opportunity with Comcast. The Senior Vice President, Bret Perkins ( a Temple men\’s soccer alum), concluded the event with a few words of advice I will carry with me into my future. This advice was \”Don\’t worry about what you don\’t know. If you need to know be okay with asking questions.\”. This was a powerful way to end the event because it was so focused on getting a grasp on your future, and Mr. Perkins\’s words eased the tension in the room.
