AIS Mentorship Program
After transferring into Temple, I added MIS as a second major in the middle of the Spring ‘19 semester. In the Fall ‘19 semester I began taking MIS courses. Prior to joining the mentorship program, I didn’t really know anybody from the major. My mentor was very helpful throughout the semester, from connecting me with fellow students to answering any questions I may have had about MIS and AIS.
After my mentor graduated in the fall semester, I was paired up with a new mentor for the Spring ’20 semester. Connecting with another member of AIS was very valuable. Despite the incredibly unconventional semester, we were still able to participate in and follow through with the mentorship program. My mentor was very helpful in coming up with a PRO points plan and assisting me with scheduling classes. I am glad that I was given the opportunity to participate in this program, and I hope to participate in the future as a mentor!
