Owltech Student Associate

OWLtech is a technology retail store for Temple University students offering the latest technology as well as repair and technical support services for major brands such as Apple and Lenovo. I had the pleasure of working as part of OWLtech’s Technical Support team where I was able to work directly with customers solving their technical support issues from the simplest software issues to major hardware failures requiring repairs.

During my time with OWLtech I became certified by both Apple and Lenovo for hardware repairs on their devices in an official capacity where I was able to repair laptops for many students and facility alike. Working with OWLtech has allowed me to grow in many ways developing skills. One such skill has been improved is customer communication which has allowed me to adjust the conversation on the spot depending on the technical knowledge of the client which may include very technical talk or simplifying the conversation that is not technically focused.  I have also developed communication skills with corporate partners through my Apple repair experience communicating directly with Apple to resolve issues that may come up as part of repairs or billing.

My technical and problem solving skills were expanded significantly not just through repairing devices but also through direct experience with customers to solve their issues eliminating potential issues until a solution could be found. My time with Owltech has allowed me to grow in many ways that will continue beyond my time with them.
