Through this introduction to Management Information Systems, I learned about the expanding role of information systems in business and different applications used to streamline business processes. The course discusses topics such as Customer Relationship Management, Enterprise Resource Planning, Cybersecurity, and the Basics of Coding.

- Enterprise Resource Planning with Swim-lane Diagrams and Entity Relationship Diagrams

MIS 0855: Data Science w/ Professor Ayabakan
Status: Completed
The course teaches students how the study of Data Science provides value regardless of industry. Through honing in on concepts such as locating data for different fields of study, identifying problems with data sets to facilitate analysis, conveying insights through visualizations, and using text/association mining techniques, students improve problem-solving skills that empower business communication.
Skills acquired include:
- Cleaning and prepping data sets through Microsoft Excel
- Turning data into visualizations for analysis via Tableau
- Presenting information and data with infographics (Piktochart)
