IBIT Mentoring Program with Dave Woodson
I have met up with NBCUniversal IT Director, Dave Woodson 2 times, and a third meeting will occur April 9, 2021. We have discussed many topics. In the first meeting, we really got to know each other and he told me what he does at work, as well as inform him my plans for the future. We discussed the different implementations of cybersecurity in the work place as well as collecting different types of data, relevant to a specific kind of job. He then told me to read an article for our 2nd meeting which was all about cybersecurity kill chains. In the second meeting, I asked him to clarify different aspects of the article I did not quite understand so he went into further detail. We then talked about different types of data extraction and different types of ways to do this and what is most common in workplaces today. He also helped me understand business intelligence and what that career field is all about as I am interested in that, as well as cybersecurity.
