Responsibilities as a DSCI Intern
During the summer of 2019, I worked on Clutch Data Science’s project to improve their Clutch Powered Segment feature. Clutch Powered Segments uses a machine learning algorithm that predicts what customers are likely to do in the future. The algorithm learns from transactional data and adapts the segment over time. As a Data Science Intern:
- I wrote and tested out different predicting models using customized machine learning library. These smalls function that I created help Clutch to improve their automated and adaptive segmentation algorithm.
- Worked on a project with the other interns to create/ improve Clutch’s Internal Reward system. I helped create a project scope document, use cases and propose a solution to automate the point system.
- I attended usability test sessions for Clutch new report feature on the portal. Use my experience in designing a prototype to voice my opinion and feedback on the website.
