Evaluation and Improvement of Company Website
The goal of this activity was to use a Heuristic Analysis to evaluate and improve a company website. The overarching goal of this specific site was to provide information to potential clients, so the goals of the website changes prioritized this. In improving the site, redundant and out dated information was taken out, and the most important information was prioritized on the front page. More updates were made to the “about us” and “contact us” pages to maintain a more simple and minimalist design. What I learned was that different websites are all made with different services. (Wix, WordPress, etc.) So doing work in the real world may require students to be more adaptable when compared to making website improvements in class.
