Data Analyst Intern
Over the course of the past two semesters, from November 2021 through February 2022, I interned at EverWash Car Club as a Data Analyst.
My role included:
- Querying the SQL database and creating reports for all departments
- Reviewing and editing Tableau dashboards regarding Membership metrics
- Taking part in weekly meetings to discuss weekly, monthly, yearly membership numbers
One project I lead was a membership segment analysis. This project involved me examining key demographic differences between “Super Users”, “At Risk Members”, and “Year Long Members”. To do this I queried the SQL database and pulled out samples of each demographic into an excel file. I used pivot tables next to begin to examine the data. I found a few patterns in the data and went on to present my findings to the data analytics team.
Over the course of my internship I was able to not only improve my technical skills in SQL, Excel, and Tableau, but I was also able to learn more about what it takes to succeed on team in the corporate world. I am very thankful for the opportunity to learn from such an amazing group of people and can’t wait to see how I use these skills in the future.
