Helping Friend with online learning
The goal was to help one of my friends from home set up for remote learning. The internet at their residence was slow and they needed assistance setting up the applications required for their school. The first thing I did was set up his laptop and area to use an Ethernet connection instead of the WiFi, since it would be much faster. Next, I made sure that their laptop was suitable for online learning, and cleaned up any bloatware that was slowing it down. I also downloaded zoom and made sure that he knew how to use it. I learned that a lot of people were not set up for the move to remote learning and that colleges could\\\’ve offered more support to students and faculty.
