Ecommerce Digital Programming Intern
QVC, owned by Qurate Retail Group, is a Fortune 500 company that specializes in the television network/eCommerce shopping industry. Their main headquarters is located in West Chester, Pennsylvania and I interned as an eCommerce Digital Programming Intern supporting all-play and the eCommerce division.As an eCommerce Digital Programming Intern, my main job functions included organizing key metrics and performing trend analysis among specific webpages to support company reporting and strategic reporting. By using various types of data sources and platforms, I was able to collect necessary information and data to execute company goals. Additionally, I collaborated with cross-functional partners in web development to optimize site functionality and customer experience. Moreover, I had the opportunity to learn and utilize Adobe Analytics which was used to collect data and statistics. Airtable was also incorporated in my internship, which was a cloud-based platform for organizing and managing data at an eCommerce level. One of my projects included curating webpages to support current market trends. Overall, I was able to increase conversion rate on our campus landing page by 6%, generating over $8k+ in revenue through the implementation of targeted web development processes, while focusing on KPI’s and current market trends. During my internship at QVC, I was able to learn valuable insights into the eCommerce industry as well as how websites and web/app development processes are conducted. Likewise, I gained knowledge in measuring and collecting data and metrics that were used to support business goals. In all, this experience relates to my major because it allowed me to learn and apply my skills within data analysis, business processes and project management. My role gave me the opportunity to utilize various types of systems such as data management and CRM systems.
