Job Function:
- Help clients assess their internal controls environment via Internal Audit, SOX Readiness / Compliance, and IT compliance or readiness projects.
- Exposure to various projects across Risk solutions, working closely with other staff, managers, and partners on all phases of the engagement lifecycle, including planning, engagement management, and project wrap-up.
- Actively contribute to Risk business growth by identifying business development opportunities, participating in marketing and brand initiatives.
Major Relation:
- My upcoming full-time job relates to my major because I will be able to utilize the foundational skills from MIS 4596 and translate them into tasks such as Risk Assessments and reporting.
- Other MIS courses have provided me with the proper technical skills that may be used on the job, depending on the specific projects and assignments.
- Overall, the MIS major has taught me clear communication, organization, and time management; critical skills that will be applied to my job. Additionally, the previous Temple Alumni employed at Grant Thornton have provided me with the appropriate professional advice needed in this industry.
