Learning the basics of Figma

I recently completed a course on how to use Figma, the collaborative interface design tool. Throughout the course, I learned essential features and concepts necessary for starting a user experience (UX) design project in Figma. The course covered how to create new files and effectively segment projects for various screens and devices. It also delved into adding content, such as shapes, images, drawings, effects, and text.

The instructor, Brian Wood, emphasized working smarter with Figma’s features like layers, reusable formatting, and components. These tools significantly streamline the design process. Towards the end of the course, I explored adding interactions to create functional prototypes. These prototypes effectively communicate the design’s intent to collaborators and clients, providing a comprehensive view of the UX design. This course was an invaluable resource in enhancing my skills in interface design using Figma.
