Website Developer
In this internship, my roles consisted of
· Collaborating with multiple small business clients to develop their websites and improve their standing on search engines
· Creating or redesigning professional small business websites to support client’s business objectives, products, and services
· Learning website tools such as Wix, WordPress, Square Space, and Shopify and good UI/UX design
· Completing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to improve website presence
· Gathering and refining client specifications and requirements based on user’s needs – develop Statement of Work outlining the deliverables
· Holding regularly scheduled meetings with clients to review the project status and progress
· Following Digital Connect processes and policies
I immensely enjoyed this internship and because of this role, I learned more about the design aspect of technology. The work within this internship expanded my studies from UX design which I was very intrigued by and after working with a formal apprenticeship in UX I realized it is work I would like to further pursue.
