Using OpenStreetMap Data for Urban Spatial Analysis: Crowdsourced Geography for Research
I attended the workshop “Using OpenStreetMap Data for Urban Spatial Analysis,” which focused on how to use OpenStreetMap (OSM) data for research and urban analysis. The session covered how crowdsourced geographic data can be used to map roads, buildings, and amenities, and how to create interactive maps without advanced coding. I learned how OSM data supports data visualization and spatial decision-making in fields such as business, research, and city planning. This workshop strengthened my understanding of data mapping tools and their real-world applications in analytics and information systems.
