Every summer since 2011 I have worked as a summer camp counselor at the K.I.D.S. Camp in the Borough of Quakertown. This job has taught me various lessons on how to interact with people of all ages, while having the time of my life. I was first introduced to the K.I.D.S. Camp when I was 12-years-old and have been volunteering and working there ever since.
The following are some of my duties as a summer camp counselor:
- Taking care of 200+ children, ages 6 though 12, on a daily basis
- Organizing and planning various activities each day to keep the children occupied throughout the summer months
- Performing, if needed, CPR and other first aid operations to campers and other counselors
- Guiding and menotoring “counselors-in-training”
