My Interests
Professional Interests:
- Data – I have always had an interest in Data. About 90% of all data in the world is unstructured, this means that there are tremendous insights to be gained. By analyzing, interpreting, and mining massive amounts of data we may be able to start an information revolution. And we can certainly use data to create value for organizations.
- Lean Management – I enjoy looking at companies processes and finding a more efficient way to organize them. Another term that could be used is to “Mcdonaldlize” a company. Mcdonalds is the king of efficiency and speed, and they should be the example to small businesses that are trying to streamline processes and increase employee efficiency.
- Investing – I have always had an interest in investing, even from an early age. As a college student, it is impractical to invest in large-cap stocks such as Apple, Google, and Amazon. Instead, it is more practical to invest in small and micro-cap stocks (below $10 per share) where I can invest in and hold a meaningful amount of shares. My portfolio has been growing exponentially over the past six years and contains between five and ten stocks at any given time. It is important for me to keep up with general economic news, as well as the S&P 500, Dow Jones Industrial Average, NASDAQ Composite, and the Russell 2000.
