API Example
In my class, Data-Centric Application Development, I learned a tremendous amount about coding. I learned HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and how to use them to effectively create and complete client-side projects. During the class, we learned about API’s and what they were used for. I found them to be quite interesting, so I decided to do an optional class project where the goal was to effectively implement an API. I found a simple motivational quote generator and decided to base my project off of that. By the time I was finished with the project I had built an API application that randomly generated new quote’s every time a button was clicked, the background color changed for every new quote, and the user had the option of posting the quote on Twitter. Overall, the project increased my ability to work with different code sources, while working towards a final product.
