Experience

Global Insurance & Financial Services, Philadelphia, PA

Intern:

From May to August of 2020, a global pandemic hit and it was a hard time for everyone. My scheduled internship got canceled but I still wanted to efficiently use my time and skills to assist a company who needed technology improvements. My mother works at an insurance agency asked if I could help her agency. Global Insurance & Financial Services is a small business with clients who are not tech savvy. But with the rapidly changing world, implementing technology was crucial. I categorized new and existing clients’ information on an online database, NowCerts. Employees were now efficient when looking for clients information and the database displayed the important information in a more organized and visually appealing way. Utilizing Excel, I analyzed and organized clients’ previous and current policies, which was simpler for our clients. Unfortunately, one of our elderly client’s business was affected due to the riots in early May. I organized the lost inventory of 1200+ items on Excel and the quantity and price the inventory was bought for.

R&R Salon, North Wales, PA

Hostess:

Since the summer of 2017, I worked at salon as a hostess. In this job, I would greet customers, escort them to their seats, answer phone calls and schedule reservations. As my first job, it taught me to how to communicate with customers, handle the difficulties of complaints with patience and care, and the importance of being well-organized.

Antioch Korean School, Conshohocken, PA

Korean School Teacher:

In high school, I volunteered at my church’s Korean School every Saturday and assisted the teacher in activities and with learning materials. I was offered a teacher position, from September 2017 to March 2018. I was in charge of five-year old students, and taught them how to read and write the basic Korean alphabet and succeeded in teaching how to write their Korean names by the end of the semester.
