I am an active member of the second biggest student professional organization, Temple’s chapter of the American Marketing Association. It hosts one to two guest speakers a week from a variety of marketing-related business sectors, which I have found beyond beneficial to my growth as a professional and as an individual. Marketing is not known for job demand, being able to stand out among a crowd of many is one of the most important qualities you can have whether its in finding the job you want, convincing a firm to work with you, or delivering a product.

Temple Ad Club, or TAC for short, is a group of students dedicated to better learning the importance of all aspects of advertising, from research and strategy to writing and design. Our meetings are a combination of hosting guest speakers, learning more about the industry as a whole from culture to technology, and overall practicing the business of building brands. TAC is a member of the American Advertising Federation. I am also a member of TAC’s Agency, we work with real local companies to improve (or in some cases overhaul) their brand image both in print and digitally. Right now I am the account manager on a team working with United Industrial Gases, located in Easton, Pennsylvania, they are trying to dramatically overhaul their website, logo, and social media presence to better promote themselves as “family friendly”, a challenge for a multi-million dollar company dealing in industrial gases.
