IT Solutions Design Intern
DLL is a global financial solutions partner. With locations in more than 35 countries and nine specialist sectors with equipment manufactures, dealers, and distributors delivering integrated solutions for the entire asset life cycle.
As an IT Solutions Design intern I was immersed in a dynamic, team-oriented environment where I had the opportunity to work with Oracle database management systems. Part of my responsibilities had me define technological process issues, compile information, and analyzing data. Additionally, I was given the responsibility of documenting DLL’s month end closing process, enabling DLL to identify potential choke points and to better estimate critical delivery targets. My analysis was than presented to senior management to assist in the decision making process. In addition, I’ve gained exposure to the following technologies: Oracle CRM On Demand, Oracle Project Management, and Microsoft SharePoint. Having the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the applications we’ve discussed in MIS 2502 & 2501 was invaluable.
Throughout the course of my internship I had the opportunity not only to expand my technical knowledge but gain valuable interpersonal communication skills. The experience and knowledge I’ve gained from interning in the Business Solutions department has had overwhelmingly positive impacts on my professional development.
