Course Work Post

This is what I have learned in my first two weeks at Temple:

Legal and Ethical Reasoning in Business:
In Legal and Ethical Reasoning in Business, I have learned about Corporate Social Responsibility. This concept teaches the idea the corporations should not make it their only focus to make the most profit; corporations should look at the wants and needs of their stakeholders and society when making business decisions. In doing this, a business will become more successful.

Leadership and Organizational Management:

In Leadership and Organizational Management, I have learned that there is more to work than working. In order to be successful in a company, you need to make relations with the people around you, and you need to learn about the company you work for. Bosses do not just look to promote the person who does the best job, they look to promote those who work hard and have great personalities.

Data Science:

In data science, I have learned that data is everywhere, and that the amount data we have collected thus far is very large. I also learned of metadata, which are descriptors for data. If there was no meta data, it would be hard to organize and read data.

Macroeconomics:

In macroeconomics, I leaned the concept of a PPC (possibilities production curve). This curve shows the different possible combinations of outputs given limited resources. This curve is not only important in economics, but I found it useful to apply it to my own life.

Business Seminar I:

In Business Seminar I, I learned the concept of SMART Goals. SMART Goals are better than normal goals because they are specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time bound. They ensure that you have a valid goal that can be accomplished.
