They went over various topics related to Microsoft Azure including the Hybrid Cloud, Migration Options, High-Performance Computing, Digital Manufacturing, Big Data and Warehousing, and Infrastructure. The Hybrid Cloud modernizes data centers and it can bring Azure services to any infrastructure. The migration options are very broad and allow you to migrate any kind of data into the Azure version of that database, one of the examples they gave was transporting your SQL data to SQL-Azure. You can do this with any Microsoft application as well. The high-performance computing checks to make sure that the application has sufficient resources to complete the task you want it to. Microsoft’s digital manufacturing is also becoming much more efficient through these services. Overall this webinar was explaining the different ways that Azure impacts Microsoft applications, the ways it cleans and prepares data, and how it improves the efficiency of any system it interacts with. This webinar is definitely important to my professional development because learning about Azure now can help me if I work with it in the future at a job or internship.
