UX Intern
Working at ESI (Electronic Systems Installers), I acted as an UX intern for the term of Summer 2025. ESI is a small security system installation company located in York County, Pennsylvania. I worked in the social media department as the UX intern, for website enhancement purposes. My assigned tasks included enhancing accessibility to the company website, monitoring website engagement, making changes and updates to the website, and providing feedback on website changes and updates. AN example of my main project, was working on the company website to make it more accessible and user-friendly- a core principle of UX. I was able to fully transform the website in order to bring more engagement from potential clients. I learned from this how important UX is in website applications, and not just UI. I was able to gain hands-on experience in what it looks like to create a more useful tool for companies to display to the public, which relates directly to my UX Design course, where we spent multiple weeks designing websites with specific needs for “mock clients.”
