Interests/Hobbies

In my spare time, I enjoy indulging in all things fashion. As a new online boutique owner, I’m an avid watcher of trending items, fashion shows, bloggers and celebrity wear. Fashion has always been something that I’ve wanted to take to the next level. It has been my form of expression since I was young.  As I grew up, I learned that I could eventually take my talent to others who enjoyed what I did. I began to style models for community based fashion shows and catwalk events. I did so well that I decided to start designing my own pieces. Once I entered college, I decided to put my thoughts to action and began building my brand. With my marketing background and knowledge of consumerism, I know that I have the ability to make my brand flourish.

I enjoy volunteer work and giving back through service. I’ve volunteered at schools in my neighborhood assisting with small shows and charity expos as well. I love working with younger children. I’ve been apart of mentoring workshops and partnering events with children in which I enjoyed greatly. I also donate my old clothing to women shelters in my area every year during the winter season. I’ve participated in Aids walks, Toy Drives, Fundraisers for the homeless as well as volunteering in soup kitchens and Christmas caroling in the nursing homes in my area.

 

In addition to my home-based interests, I’m active on campus in Temple as well. I’m a member of the American Marketing Association, Events Chair of Temple’s Magazine Club ED 2010, Member of the National Society of Leadership and Success and a member of Temple’s Fashion and Business Club. Each of my clubs and organizations give me insight on various aspects of my desired career industry. There are so many different components of the fashion industry and through each membership; I have the ability to explore the many possibilities. My extra curricular activities keep me well balanced along with the information that I’m learning everyday in the classroom.
