Career Objectives
Coming out of high school, I was slightly unsure about what career path I wanted to pursue. I had a history of working with kids at events such as school trips and summer camps. As a result, I decided to pursue a degree in Health and Physical Education at West Chester University, with the hopes of one day becoming a teacher. However, after going through some classes and gaining more experience with my landscaping company, B & W Lawn Care, I realized that my real passion was for business.
I decided to leave West Chester University behind and transfer into the Fox School of Business at Temple University. Through my experiences with B & W Lawn Care, I learned that I have a passion for customer service. I loved managing the cash inflows and outflows, as well as the marketing and customer service aspects that are associated with running a small business. I learned that I was passionate about all aspects of business and not just one.
The ultimate goal that I have for my career is to own a business that focuses on providing customers with an unparallelled level of customer service. I know first hand how frustrating it can be to deal with businesses that do not value the customer experience. While my end goal is to be an owner/operator of a business in the service industry, my short term goal is to gain experience in management positions. I have an interest in varying aspects of the service industry, and I hope to turn one of those passions into a career. I believe that these experiences will provide me with a better understanding of what customers want out of a business and then, in turn, how to provide that experience to them.
