Cybersecurity Fundamentals for IT Technicians
I recently completed Cybersecurity Fundamentals for IT Technicians by Pearson. I was interested in the course because I wanted to strengthen my understanding of cybersecurity and learn how to prevent security threats. Throughout the course, I learned about common cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attack methods that affect IT environments. I also learned about malware detection and security incident investigation. My biggest takeaway from the course is that cybersecurity involves more than protecting passwords. It is also about recognizing different types of threats, protecting personal data, and knowing how to respond when security incidents occur.
I can apply this to my coursework by considering cybersecurity threats when working with technology and business systems. These skills will be useful in my future career in IT because they can help me manage risks and protect information. This course strengthened my cybersecurity foundation and made me more aware of how important security is in an organization.
