Research Analyst – Northwest Counseling Services
As a Research Analyst at Northwest Counseling Services, my role consisted of technology and possible sources of revenue research, helping out with technology related issues, and consulting on a project that consisted on developing an app for the company. Northwest Counseling Services is a non-profit organization located in Philadelphia who provide real estate and housing services to the residents in the Greater Philadelphia area. My main responsibilities included providing the CEO detailed analysis on technology tools that she or the company believed to be worth of value. I used Microsoft Excel to analyze the costs and other variables in order to provide a final benefit/cost to the CEO. I also acted as a technology SME on most technology related issues. This included database and data entry troubleshooting that I was able to solve with no issues. I also participated in a think tank consulting group where the group’s focus was to develop the idea of an app for the company to distribute to its customers so they can have a real-time access to their real estate/housing information. This group was still in the process of developing the ideas and objectives when I left. Overall, my time at Northwest Counseling Services involved detailed technology reports that I was successfully able to create based off of my experience in the class MIS 2501 and acted as an SME for technology related issues that I learned in multiple MIS and business classes I completed.
