Blue Stream Cleaning is a partnership-based business specializing in both exterior and interior cleaning services for residential homes and commercial properties. We offer a range of cleaning solutions, from pressure washing and roof cleaning to interior floor care and surface restoration. As one of the partners, I oversee all aspects of the business, ensuring high-quality service delivery and a commitment to meeting the needs of the homeowners, property managers, and businesses we work with.

As a partner at Blue Stream Cleaning, I oversee a wide range of responsibilities, from managing client relations to handling operations. I respond to incoming leads, schedule and conduct site visits with clients to assess their needs, and provide tailored estimates. I plan and coordinate each job, manage and maintain equipment, and oversee invoicing and accounting. Additionally, I lead our marketing efforts, coordinating both print and online advertising campaigns to grow the business.

I worked with a website designer to create a comprehensive website for Blue Stream Cleaning, showcasing our services and incorporating a lead capture system. Additionally, I collaborated with a designer to produce professional print marketing materials, such as mailers and door hangers, aimed at incentivizing customer inquiries. I integrated QR codes into the designs to drive traffic to our website and social media platforms. I also researched and selected a CRM system, working closely with the provider to ensure seamless integration into our business operations. Furthermore, I assessed the specific nature of our work, designed an optimized process and workflow, and built custom equipment to increase operational efficiency and productivity.

The development of our website is one instance where I was able to apply the knowledge I gained from the course “Web App Development.” I can analyze the code of our website and understand how the concepts we learned in class apply to real-world applications. While currently taking the course “User Experience Design,” I find that I can better grasp the concepts by considering them in relation to our website. By understanding the concept of personas in UX design, I can better comprehend the website’s users and plan changes that cater to this demographic. Additionally, my experience in the “Data & Analytics” course has been useful. At the end of the busy season, I can review data such as the average dollar value of our jobs and our sales close rate, allowing us to adjust our prices for the next season.
