Nail Technician
For my non-major specific job, I work at a nail salon as a manager and nail technician during the fall semester. I’ve worked since the first week of school. My daily activities are wide ranged. I perform many different services like manicures and pedicures. I interact with customers daily to explain services and pricing. I deal with a database of client management and inventory daily and weekly. My mother is an owner so I’ve learned many customer service skills by interacting with a wide range of clients and employees. I learned about taking inventory and getting supplies from a supplier. I’ve also learned many skills in the nail arts like acrylics, and different ways to perform the basic nail care services.
