Hands-on Data Science and AI for Healthcare
I completed the Hands-on Data Science and AI for Healthcare course, instructed by Wuraola Oyewusi. This course provided an exploration of how data science and machine learning can be applied to healthcare challenges, using real-world datasets and scenarios. I learned to apply various algorithms in contexts such as disease prediction, sentiment analysis of patient reviews, and radiology image detection through computer vision. The course introduced me to techniques like SHAP modeling for explaining machine learning model outcomes and demonstrated its application in diabetes prediction. I also gained practical experience analyzing X-ray data and evaluating performance metrics in convolutional neural networks. Additionally, I developed valuable skills in exploratory data analysis and visualization, using tools like word clouds and Scattertext to visualize patient sentiment and medical data. This experience has significantly deepened my understanding of how data science can be leveraged to address healthcare issues and improve decision-making processes.
