Charitable Activities

image

As a responsible and conscious citizen, I have engaged in setting up and co founding a charitable trust based in India, by the name of Wadhar Foundation. This trust engages in social activites, that focus on education and social upliftment of the poor, the ones who daily struggle to meet their basic need. The trust also promotes and encourages cultural functions and activities that emphasize on the preservation of native language, poetry and works of other literary significance.  The trust also takes up animal welfare activities.

Some of the projects that benefited a village that goes by the name ‘Bajrangpur’ in the state of Gujarat in the West of India are stated below. It is the trust’s unofficially adopted village and has actively engaged in the village well fare projects.

  1. Built a school for children of Bajrangpur and the nearby villages; a project with an aim to provide uncompromising education.
  2. Donated school buses; a project that addressed the problems of commuting, especially for children who walked miles from nearby villages to come attend school.
  3. Built an environment friendly crematorium; a project focused on building facility that can provide respectful after-death rights.
  4. Built of a cattle shelter; a project that addressed welfare of cattle that were left unclaimed after they had exceeded their working life etc.
  5. Plantation of trees; a project targeting Green India, Save Trees.
  6. Built a temple; a project laying stronger foundation to the faith of villagers.

During hot summers, Wadhar Foundation supports animal welfare activities by building water holes for animals and also distributes sparrow houses.

Wadhar Foundation also helps and supports other trusts and organizations engaged in such activities.
