Olivia’s FAQs

Question: This isn’t my major. Why should I care?

Answer: This question gets asked every semester, and every year there’s the same answer. Fox asks that you take this course for a reason, not just for fun. Like I said earlier, the concepts in this course are applicable to every single major. From Entrepreneurship to Economics, from Marketing to Finance, every student will see some application in this course. You are that much better off as an academic, applicant, and employee when you learn concepts that are adjacent or connected to your major. This is the perfect entry level course to understanding tech applications in the business world- take advantage of it!

Question: I did rough on the first exam. How can I improve my grade?

Answer: Use your resources! There are weekly questions posted on this Diamond Peer Corner website, so aim to review those at the end of every week! If you can’t answer those, review the content so you can answer it. If you still are confused, reach out to your ITA for clarification. Plus, participate! If you get it wrong, who cares! No one will remember that you got one question wrong on that one day in that one class you took. The only person at a detriment from not asking questions is you, so don’t put yourself behind the starting line simply because you won’t ask questions. Students who followed those tips, myself included, did incredibly well on their next exam.
