Work Experience

Sky Cleaners, LLC

I worked at a local dry cleaners, Sky Cleaners, as the assistant manager at the busiest of our 5 stores. During my time there I developed great customer-employee, and employee-employee relationships with the people that I saw on a day to day basis. I learned how to problem solve under time constraints, and perform tasks in a timely manner. As an assistant manager a lot of the times I had to step back from a problem we were facing in the store and analyze what was going on, and how we could reach a solution that would benefit everyone involved. Once determining a solution it was my responsibility to effectively communicate that solution to those around me.

I handled settlement of cash and credit card statements after every shift, which included closing out drawers and making sure our credit card machine statements matched with our computer statements. Lastly, when we would get new employees often times I was the one to train them in the stores daily operations. This came with great responsibility because when one mistake is made with someones order it could send everything else into disarray. If it wasn’t for my job at Sky Cleaners I don’t think I would have such a good grasp on what goes into making a great business run well.

I created the website for this business using the WIX platform. I also managed all social media accounts including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram while using analytics to reach a bigger target audience. I worked with Quickbooks Online for customer accounts, as well as ACT! software which stored our customers information for the use of email marketing.
