This was an audio-only LinkedIn learning in talk with Kwame Christian and Meggie Palmer about how to negotiate your salary. They first start with how important confidence is to negotiating. They state that the more prepared you are to defend your reasoning, then the more confident that you become. Palmer talks about how everyone should know their values and strengths that they are bringing into the role they have been accepted for. They lastly mention how if you are switching jobs due to salary, then to negotiate with your current employer and see if they will negotiate to have you stay within the company. This LinkedIn learning was picked because if I were to be in this situation, then I want to be able to have enough confidence to fully negotiate my salary for one I believe I earn.
