Server – TGI Friday’s (May 2016 – Present)
I have worked as a server for the past three years during breaks from school. In my role as a server I have to communicate with guests using excellent communication and customer service skills, multitask doing many different things at one time, and also ensure that all other servers on the floor are also doing their jobs properly. Working as a server has helped prepare me for a job in many ways, the most important of which I believe is time management and the ability to multitask. Serving has taught me to juggle many different tasks at once and complete all of them in an efficient manner which I believe is very important for any job. This skill will help me to efficiently complete projects and assignments by deadlines with the quality that I believe is important.
Bouncer – Maxi’s Pizza Subs and Bar (February 2017 – present)
In this job it is my responsibility to check to make sure all patrons have valid identification upon entry and also to ensure the safety of all patrons within the building. This job has taught me the importance of responsibility because any patron found inside without valid identification can cause fines or worse for the bar and for myself.
