Global Partnerships Internship

  1. Job function (e.g., overall role, assigned tasks)
    • My overall role was a \”Global Partnerships Internship\”. I worked with the Head of Strategic Alliances (HSA) within CI&T\’s North American Group. I assisted the HSA with a project regarding Global Partnerships. Our goal was to create a working online dashboard that would show how CI&T\’s partners provide value to the firm and how CI&T could use those partnerships to better service their customers.
  2. Examples of projects (e.g., list the projects you worked on and what you accomplished)
    • My supervisor (HSA) is a former Scrum Master and Project Manager. CI&T itself is a digital transformation company, based heavily on Agile Work Methodology. Overall, my supervisor would employ those tactics by giving me small projects that could be achieved within a few days, and then I would present and we would go over feedback, then reiterate on my work. The main project that we undertook was to create our own version of a \”Gartner Magic Quadrant\” where we ranked (statistically) Partners of the firm based off of specific criteria and then displayed those in an interactive dashboard.
    • Here are the main steps that we took to achieve this:
      1. Discuss what platform to build the dashboard (Google Sites was chosen to showcase how a complete overall site would look)
      2. Gather requirements, such as what criteria specifically to rank our Partners (We also sent out a feedback form to multiple executives across the world for their input)
      3. Assign overall points and weights to each criteria that was selected
      4. Provide values for each of the partners and put them in an (x,y) format.
      5. Take each of the (x,y) coordinates for each of the partners and put them into Google Data Studios to show them across a scatterplot.
  3. What you learned and how it relates to your major (e.g., describe what you learned from this experience in the context of specific courses)
    • I\’m a double major, International Business and MIS, and getting to work for CI&T, which is an excellent blend of an international business, based in Brazil, and MIS, being a digital transformation company, heavily reliant on technology and Agile Methodologies, was an amazing experience. Coming in as an MIS student, I wanted to apply a technological approach to anything that I did, and getting to work with statistics, Google Data Studios, and some small programming details in Google Sheets was really informative for me.
