Association for Information Systems (AIS)
After currently declaring my MIS major, I became a member of AIS. My involvement as a member includes going to the daily workshops every Friday where there is a speaker to present to us on different topics of information technology and what businesses look for today. Also, we have guests that come in and demonstrate different types of software and how it can be used. Since I declared my MIS major in the fall 2013, I joined AIS later in the year as well. Due to this I was not able to join their program, T-DAP, but I do plan on joining in 2014. Being a part of T-DAP will give me a lot of experience in different types of software. I will attend workshops that will teach students how to become skilled in different software like Java Script, WordPress and many others.
