Consultant – Technology and Risk
I have received and accepted a full-time job offer from Ernst & Young. Ernst & Young – EY for short – provides professional services such as consulting, audit, tax, assurance, and business advisory to other industries. EY is a large company, considered one of the ‘Big 4’ consulting firms. They have offices located around the world, however, I will remain in their Philadelphia office after graduation. I will be working as a Technology and Risk Consultant.
As a Technology and Risk Consultant, my overall role will be to assess and provide services to help companies understand and mitigate business risks related to technology.
My job relates to my major because my job works closely with Information Technology. My major in Management Information Systems has focused on creating information systems, especially with data management. I will need how to search, analyze, and store data which are all practices I’ve gained through MIS courses like Data and Analytics and Web Service Programming. I am excited to transfer the skills I have learned in MIS to my career.
