Honors Admissions and Transitions Team (HATT)

In order to increase my involvement in the Temple University Honors Program, I became a member of the Honors Admissions and Transitions Team also known as HATT or Honors Ambassadors. HATT reaches out to current high school seniors who have been accepted into the Honors program and who are considering choosing Temple. These students can schedule Temple visit days through the Honors program, and HATT members coordinate these visits. I take high school students to lunch, to some of my Honors classes, and I also give them tours of the 1300 residence hall where the Honors Living Learning Community is located. I email prospective students in order to reach out to them to see if they have any specific questions about Temple student life. Finally, the HATT team hosts a special program for prospective Honors students on Experience Temple Days to meet with students in person, answer questions, and to encourage them to attend Temple. I decided to become a HATT because other HATT members greatly influenced my decision to come to Temple when I was deciding between colleges during my senior year of high school. The HATT team is very enthusiastic, positive, and excited about Temple University and all it has to offer.
