Information Technology Assistant
- My role as an information technology assistant for MIS 2101 consisted of technical troubleshooting, assistance with in-class activities, and evaluation of weekly assignments. I also held office hours to assist students with more difficult assignments relating to introductory coding.
- Some projects/assignments I worked on for the class included JavaScript and SalesForce for beginners. JavaScript was immensely prominent in this course as the students had about three assignments relating to coding. I mainly aided in answering the questions students posed. Moreover, I accomplished walking them through their obstacles and confusion in order to complete the assignments accurately.
- I learned that understanding how to work through technical issues (both for others and for yourself) is extremely crucial when working with platforms such as SalesForce and Visual Studio Code. I also learned that there is always more to learn. As someone who took MIS 2101 already, I still gained valuable tips such as how to create more efficient lines of code. IT is an integral part of MIS, so I have no doubt that I will carry the knowledge of being an ITA into my future career.
