Interests and Hobbies
My biggest passion thus far in life has been swimming. Since the age of 5, I have swam year-round, competitively for various teams. Being a varsity swimmer through all four years of high school definitely taught me time management and commitment. Being on a team of people of all different abilities allowed me to be a helpfing hand to others and also develop my voice and hone my leadership skills. In the fall of 2013 I joined Temple University’s club team and enjoyed being a part of a team again for that semester. I will always swim in my free time for exercise and to relieve stress.
Main interests of mine are being involved and volunteering. In high school, I was involved in clubs and sports teams and loving being around people and helping others. Specifically, I was a member of Key Club which was solely based on year long volunteering. Once coming to college, I joined Delta Zeta sorority partly because of all the great volunteer work that we do around campus. We are constantly volunteering, participating in charity walks, raising money for different causes, etc. I feel the most satisfied when I give back and I will continue to volunteer as much as possible.
A daily hobby of mine is keeping up with the news, politics, and current events. This all started growing up when I would always spend time with my Dad watching the nightly news. Now, I spend a lot of my free time reading articles of all different topics online. I find following a news story to be addictive and you can never go wrong keeping yourself up to date with what is going on in the world.
