Coursework

Honors Digital Systems: In MIS 1901, I was introduced to the technologies and software such as CRM and AI Integration that allow modern companies to thrive. This course was especially useful for me as an MIS major as it served as my first introduction to the more technical side of business.

Honors Leadership and Organizational Management: In HRM 1901, I learned about both the typical processes of business and the techniques that modern managers use to lead their workers. Outside of simply learning business terms and vocabulary, I was also introduced to soft skills such as servant leadership that I will carry with me into my future career.

Honors Legal Environment of Business: In LGLS 1901, I applied general knowledge of the law and criminal justice system to the business world. Specific topics included the law of contracts and white-collar crimes, which will both apply heavily in any job that I receive.

AP Macroeconomics: In high school, I was placed into college level macroeconomics in which we covered a wide variety of topics, including market supply and demand, trading policies, and the effect of the Federal Reserve in the larger economy. I received a 5 on the College Board’s AP exam, allowing me to earn credit for the course before attending college.

Microeconomics: In ECON 1102, I continued to build on the knowledge I received in AP Macroeconomics and apply it to the smaller scale of microeconomics. These concepts include price elasticity, industry concentration ratios, and short-term costs among others.

AP Statistics: In high school, I was placed into college level statistics which allowed me to study statistical concepts such as data analysis and hypothesis testing at a more advanced level. I received a 4 on the College Board’s AP exam, allowing me to earn credit for the course before attending college.

Selected Topics in Statistical Business Analysis: After my completion of AP Statistics, I was placed in STAT 2104 in which I learned more about statistical concepts within the scope of business. We focused on using real-world sampling and data analytics to make our more abstract skills relevant to the real world.
