Business Analyst Intern

- I was employed as a Business Analyst for the Responsible Sourcing team, under the Supply Chain Department.
Job function:
- Data Analysis: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect, clean, and analyze sourcing data. Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Supplier Compliance: Assist in monitoring supplier compliance per our Sustainable Sourcing Policy
and other commitments. Evaluate supplier performance metrics and track progress toward Responsible Sourcing goals. - Reporting: Prepare reports, presentations, and marketing content to communicate sourcing performance metrics to stakeholders.
Some of the projects I worked on:
- Analyzed and visualized 700,000+ rows of data using Microsoft Excel to identify trends and improvement opportunities, benefiting over +500 Northeastern suppliers with useful KPIs
- Utilized Aramark’s CRM system to record 400+ diverse suppliers including spending information to communicate performance metrics, increased uncontracted suppliers’ spending record by $1M+
- Developed and implemented Python scripts to perform advanced calculations on 150,000+ data points related to greenhouse gas emissions helping Aramark’s strategic decision on sustainable purchasing
- Involved in projects that require navigating visualizing tools such as PowerBI, Qlik, Excel, etc.
What I learned and how it is related to my major:
- I’m double major in MIS and Supply Chain. This internship’s tasks are mainly about data analytics where I navigated large dataset, utilize visualizing tools, coding in Python and SQL, etc. These are related to my MIS major. Also, I worked for the Responsible Sourcing team under the supply chain department. I learned a lot about how the supply chain of Aramark operated. This is related to my supply chain major.
