Automotive Inspection Technician, Assistant Manager

Miller Tire & Auto Co.

May 2011-September 2013

When I began working for Miller Tire & Auto, I had no previous automotive experience. Thanks to the mentorship of the more experienced technicians, my ability and knowledge grew quickly. After a year I was certified to perform emission and safety inspections, and promoted to assistant manager of our satellite location. While acting manager, I still did inspections, repairs, and diagnostics, but also oversaw daily operations such as:

  • Supervising 3 employees
  • Scheduling and distributing work orders
  • Ordering parts
  • Customer transactions
  • Inventory tracking
  • Customer service
  • Financial accountability and reporting
