Operations Research Analyst
This summer, I had the privilege of interning at Sensi Holistic Creative Agency, a UN-funded non-profit based in Rome, Italy. Sensi’s core mission is to promote well-being, social integration, and healing for refugees and other vulnerable populations through the transformative power of art and creativity. During my internship, I immersed myself in a wide range of responsibilities, focusing on comprehensive research and analysis on funding opportunities, non-profit organizational management structures, art therapy, and the measurable impacts of Sensi’s programs on the communities it serves.
I applied data analysis tools such as Tableau, SPSS Statistics, and Qualtrics to design and execute in-depth surveys that aimed at collecting critical participant feedback. This data not only helped shape strategic program improvements but was also instrumental in Sensi’s grant-writing process. My contributions on grant proposals played a direct role in supporting Sensi’s ongoing efforts by helping secure essential funding to expand their initiatives.
In addition to my analytical work, I contributed to the creative side of the organization by managing Sensi’s social media platforms; creating content that raised awareness and built a sense of community engagement around the agency’s mission. I also had the privilege of assisting in art therapy workshops and coordinating cultural excursions. These hands-on experiences allowed me to witness firsthand the profound impact of creative expression on personal and social well-being, helping me deepen my understanding of people and the challenges they can face.
The skills I developed in data analysis, content strategy, and community engagement during my time at Sensi have significantly enriched my approach to problem-solving. I’m excited to bring these experiences to future roles, where I hope to optimize business processes and decision-making by integrating technology to solve real-world challenges.
