Memory Lane Project
MIS3506: Digital Design and Innovation Studio (Fall 2017)
Professor: Steven E. Sclarow
In the course MIS3506, I had the great opportunity to participate as a team member in the project called Memory Lane. Memory Lane is an app on the Amazon Alexa suite. Memory Lane uses voice controlled consumer devices to make a positive impact on the elderly generation, helping users explore history through brief snippets of recorded sound from the past.
Our team’s goal was:
- Develop technology that enabled web and mobile tools for the collection and dissemination of personal memories.
- Enabled clients the ability to store their memories in an easy, efficient manner.
- Enabled clients and their families with the ability to play back their memories in an easy, efficient manner.
Through out the project, I learned how to work on the real application planning project with my teammates. I learned how to developed prototype using Justinmind. I also learned how to create the personas, use cases, project charter, etc. This project gained me a lot of knowledge on how the real project was like and I believe it will help a lot in many future career.
