Coursework
My coursework at Temple University has prepared for applying to jobs/internships, help me narrow potential career paths and also, helped me gain many skills that will be essential in the workforce. A few of my most helpful classes are: MIS 2101, and MIS 2502.
MIS2101 (Information Systems in Organizations): This course gave me the basic idea of what Information Systems is and how important it is in the organization. This class explained for me the role of information technology as a business enabler and identify and explain management information systems applications including customer relationship management systems, enterprise systems, e-commerce applications, transaction processing systems, business analytics, and emerging technologies.
MIS 2502 (Data Analytics): This class brought me to the world of data analytics. We learned about designing database systems and analyzing business data to enhance a firms competitiveness. We also learned how to use SQL and R, which are two very important skills to have in our industry. After this class, I discovered my strong passion for data analytics.
