Given the free time I have on the weekends once I get my school and actual work from my job squared away, I quite literally take over the kitchen and bake.

I am a serial cake decorator on the side. I began decorating custom cakes last fall for fun and I started receiving orders. Now I manage a part time custom cake decorating business simply for fun along with school and a job. You may ask why I’m going back for Master’s in IT Auditing while having a custom cake creation business on the side. This business is simply something I’m doing for fun and it’s not something I would like to pursue as an actual career. My focus is and always will be on gaining a position in the IT industry.

I am avid reader as well. I may not be able to remember the title or the author, but I can recall a story I’ve read ages ago with ease. I began reading at a really young age when I lived in Dubai. Fictional books were scarce there and we had to rent the books we wanted to read. My parents used to reward me by taking me to the bookstore for each “A” I received. Once I immigrated to America at the young age of 10, I was fortunate enough to move into an area that had a library within 5 minutes. It became my second home until my first year of college when I moved to campus. I don’t read as much as I did back then, but I don’t believe that my love for reading will ever fade.
