In the build your first server, 7(b)”Set secondary DNS server to the Azure DNS server (HINT: you can find this by doing “ipconfig /all” in the cmd prompt on your VM)”. I want to know where is the cmd in the MS azure.

      Hi Wenlin,

Please see the following Technet article available from Microsoft: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj717276(v=ws.11).aspx

Hint: Some tasks should be done in the Azure Portal and some should be done in the VM itself.

Can anyone guide me on how to give my VM a static IP address? I tried searching online and found this: http://kb.parallels.com/en/112093

I did it as shown on the site and I immediately got disconnected from my VM.

      Hi Yang Li,

Please see the discussion thread posted earlier by Rommel. It will likely answer your question:

      http://community.mis.temple.edu/itacs5122fall16/2016/08/31/it-knowledge-base/#comments

Also, if you made changes that corrupted your VM you can always redeploy it through the portal.

      Hope this helps!

      Pat
