Career Objectives
After graduation I plan to work in the oil industry as either a business/systems analyst or work for a consulting firm. Being a fourth generation oil industry worker I have fell in love with the industry the same way my father, grandfather, and great grandfather did. I plan to use my knowledge of finance, technology, and previous experience to be a great IT analyst and eventually work my way through the rankings to CIO. I am also very interested in the possibility of working as a consultant. My MIS background has taught me how to not only see issues from a business perspective or IT perspective but instead from both perspectives. This helps me implement systems that will allow business and IT to come together to create maximum efficiency. Only with time will I realize what path I will take, but both of these careers would benefit me as an individual and help me benefit the company I work for.
